Michael was born in New Jersey and is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. He is the founder of Diario Films and the co-founder of the educational startup, Uprise. Michael has worked as a producer at various agencies and created documentary programming for the US State Department, the United Nations (UNHCR), the NBA, National Geographic, and various independent production companies and non-profits across the United States. He was the first-ever media fellow for Kiva.org which brought him to 8 countries in Central America and Southeast Asia to create short-form documentaries. He has produced, directed, and filmed projects in Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, Asia and across the United States. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
